Go Back To This

Here is a partial message that I am working on. Will post more to it later. I ask anyone who sees this, if you think that Jesus was/is, God, please show me the verse which SAYS THAT. (not some man’s twisted, added-to stuff)
Jesus……God or Man?

In this study I am going to prove with KJV, that Jesus is/was, a MAN, and not God.

Matthew 8:20 And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air [have] nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay [his] head.

Matthew 8:27 But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!

Matthew 9:6 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.

Matthew 10:23 But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come. Matthew 11:19 The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children.

Matthew 12:8 For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.

Matthew 12:32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the [world] to come

Matthew 12:40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

Matthew 13:37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;

Matthew 13:41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;

Matthew 13:54 And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this [man] this wisdom, and [these] mighty works?

Matthew 13:56 And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this [man] all these things?

Matthew 16:13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?

Matthew 16:27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

Matthew 16:28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.

Matthew 17:9 And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead. 3.

Matthew 17:12 But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them

Matthew 17:22 And while they abode in Galilee, Jesus said unto them, The Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of men:

Matthew 18:11 For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.

Matthew 20:18 Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death,

Matthew 24:27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

Matthew 24:37 But as the days of Noe [were], so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Matthew 24:39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Matthew 24:44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

Matthew 25:13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

Matthew 25:31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

Matthew 26:2 Ye know that after two days is [the feast of] the passover, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified.

Matthew 26:24 The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born.

Matthew 26:45 Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take [your] rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

Matthew 26:64 Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

[In all of the above verses, only in Matthew, we see that Jesus has called himself man and son of Man over and over. Not once has he said, the God, Jesus, or any such thing. He has not once referred to himself as anything other than a man. He refers to himself, before death, as a man. Then he refers to himself in the resurrection as a man.

Then he refers to himself as a man, when he returns. Then he refers to himself as a man sitting on the right hand of power. So even after his resurrection and ascension to heaven, he still calls himself a man. I cannot find one single place where Jesus refers to himself as God or a god.]

Matthew 26:72 And again he denied with an oath, I do not know the man.

Here Peter refers to Jesus as a MAN. He never believed that Jesus was God.

Matthew 26:74 Then began he to curse and to swear, [saying], I know not the man. And immediately the cock crew.

Matthew 27:19 When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.

Matthew 27:47 Some of them that stood there, when they heard [that], said, This [man] calleth for Elias.

Mark 2:7 Why doth this [man] thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?

Mark 2:10 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,)

[In the above verse, Jesus shows them that the son of man has power to forgive sins; yet the false teachers of today say he was showing them that he was God. Why do they distort these truths and add their own lies to the Word of God?]

Paulette J Smith See, Peter never said, you are God in flesh, or God incarnate; or God the son, of second person or fullness of God, or any such statement. All Peter claimed to believe here, and it is revelation From God, the Father, that Jesus is the Christ, the son of the Living God. If you say more, you are adding to God’s word.

Linda Hodge Jesus on earth had power to forgive Sins. That power came from heaven. He was not born with it. Look and see how Jesus had the wind and sea obey him. I do not think Adam had this power before he sinned. He had power over the animals. Interesting

Linda Hodge I need to read again about Pharoah. The Children of Israel were his slaves. Enslaved by Pharoah. Pharoah is Sin. (Adam). He chased after them when they left. Like the beast in Revelation went after the women in the wilderness. Just trying to piece some stuff together. Always wondered about Pharoah.

Paulette J Smith yes, you are absolutely right. God said if one is deceived, He deceived them…but why? because they did not receive a LOVE FOR THE TRUTH. True Love would stop all the evils in this world.
