Lot and His Two Daughters

<span style=”font-size: large;”>Good Morning Freeborn,</span><div><span style=”font-size: large;”>I just thought I would like to discuss this, many people say that the stories of the Bible are sexual in nature and GOD would not do something like that… But what they do not understand is that they were punished for what they did. But not LOT. And I wondered why. Maybe because he did not know of what was being done to him. And did not suffer the punishment of GOD. Well let us look at the whole story:</span></div><div><span style=”font-size: large;”><br></span></div><div><p><span style=”font-size: large;”><b>Genesis 19:30-38 (KJV) </b><br><font color=”#000000″>30 </font>And Lot went up out of Zoar, and dwelt in the mountain, and his two daughters with him; for he feared to dwell in Zoar: and he dwelt in a cave, he and his two daughters.&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style=”font-size: large;”><font color=”#000000″>31 </font>And the firstborn said unto the younger, Our father <i>is</i> old, and <i>there is</i> not a man in the earth to come in unto us after the manner of all the earth:&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style=”font-size: large;”>&nbsp;<br><font color=”#000000″>32 </font>Come, let us make our father drink wine, and we will lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father. <br><font color=”#000000″>33 </font>And they made their father drink wine that night: and the firstborn went in, and lay with her father; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose. <br><font color=”#000000″>34 </font>And it came to pass on the morrow, that the firstborn said unto the younger, Behold, I lay yesternight with my father: let us make him drink wine this night also; and go thou in, <i>and</i> lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father. <br><font color=”#000000″>35 </font>And they made their father drink wine that night also: and the younger arose, and lay with him; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose. <br><font color=”#000000″>36 </font>Thus were both the daughters of Lot with child by their father. <br><font color=”#000000″>37 </font>And the firstborn bare a son, and called his name Moab: the same <i>is</i> the father of the Moabites unto this day. <br><font color=”#000000″>38 </font>And the younger, she also bare a son, and called his name Benammi: the same <i>is</i> the father of the children of Ammon unto this day.&nbsp;<br></span></p><p><span style=”font-size: large;”><br></span></p><p><span style=”font-size: large;”>Well, I know what Lot’s problem was. If we look back over in <span style=”font-weight: bold;”>Genesis 19:7</span> we see where the angel had told LOT before to escape to the mountain, but he was slow in obeying the command of the angel. That may mean something. What if GOD told you to do something, and you did it when you felt like it. When GOD says GO! You GO! You do not linger until the last minute. And people are like that now. They linger. Wait until the last minute..</span></p><p><span style=”font-size: large;”>Ok, now on to those two daughters, and their sinful act:</span></p><p><span style=”font-size: large;”><br></span></p><p></p><p style=”line-height: 14px; “><span style=”font-size: large;”><span style=”font-weight: bold;”><font color=”#000000″ style=”line-height: 12px; “>31&nbsp;</font>And the firstborn said u</span><span style=”font-weight: bold;”>nto the younger, Our father&nbsp;<i>is</i>&nbsp;old, and&nbsp;<i>there is</i>&nbsp;not a man in the earth to come in unto us after the manner of all the earth:&nbsp;</span></span></p><p style=”line-height: 14px; “><span style=”font-size: large;”><span style=”font-weight: bold;”><font color=”#000000″ style=”line-height: 12px; “>32&nbsp;</font>Come, let us make our father drink wine, and we will lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father</span>.</span></p><p><span style=”font-size: large;”>See the people of Zoar where going to be&nbsp;destroyed&nbsp;along with Sodom for&nbsp;Homosexuality&nbsp;by GOD. So they did not want to have kids by perverted men that were soon to be&nbsp;destroyed…Only if they knew that they were doing alot worse in the site of GOD..</span></p><p style=”line-height: 14px; “><span style=”font-size: large;”>Now they laid with their father and they both got pregnant. Now the firstborn daughter had a son, and he was named: <span style=”font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline;”>MOAB</span>. The name in Hebrew means: From my Father. And Moab is the father of the Moabites.&nbsp;</span></p><p style=”line-height: 14px; “><span style=”font-size: large;”>And the son of the younger daughter was named: <span style=”font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline;”>Benammi</span>, which in Hebrew means: Son of my People. And if we look at Hosea 2:1-23, which states:&nbsp;</span></p><p style=”line-height: 14px; “></p><p></p><p><span style=”font-size: large;”><b>Hosea 2:1-23 (KJV) </b><br><font color=”#000000″>1 </font>Say ye unto your brethren, Ammi; and to your sisters, Ruhamah. <br><font color=”#000000″>2 </font>Plead with your mother, plead: for she <i>is</i> not my wife, neither <i>am</i> I her husband: let her therefore put away her whoredoms out of her sight, and her adulteries from between her breasts; <br><font color=”#000000″>3 </font>Lest I strip her naked, and set her as in the day that she was born, and make her as a wilderness, and set her like a dry land, and slay her with thirst. <br><font color=”#000000″>4 </font>And I will not have mercy upon her children; for they <i>be</i> the children of whoredoms. <br><font color=”#000000″>5 </font>For their mother hath played the harlot: she that conceived them hath done shamefully: for she said, I will go after my lovers, that give <i>me</i> my bread and my water, my wool and my flax, mine oil and my drink. <br><font color=”#000000″>6 </font>Therefore, behold, I will hedge up thy way with thorns, and make a wall, that she shall not find her paths. <br><font color=”#000000″>7 </font>And she shall follow after her lovers, but she shall not overtake them; and she shall seek them, but shall not find <i>them</i>: then shall she say, I will go and return to my first husband; for then <i>was it</i> better with me than now. <br><font color=”#000000″>8 </font>For she did not know that I gave her corn, and wine, and oil, and multiplied her silver and gold, <i>which</i> they prepared for Baal. <br><font color=”#000000″>9 </font>Therefore will I return, and take away my corn in the time thereof, and my wine in the season thereof, and will recover my wool and my flax <i>given</i> to cover her nakedness. <br><font color=”#000000″>10 </font>And now will I discover her lewdness in the sight of her lovers, and none shall deliver her out of mine hand. <br><font color=”#000000″>11 </font>I will also cause all her mirth to cease, her feast days, her new moons, and her sabbaths, and all her solemn feasts. <br><font color=”#000000″>12 </font>And I will destroy her vines and her fig trees, whereof she hath said, These <i>are</i> my rewards that my lovers have given me: and I will make them a forest, and the beasts of the field shall eat them. <br><font color=”#000000″>13 </font>And I will visit upon her the days of Baalim, wherein she burned incense to them, and she decked herself with her earrings and her jewels, and she went after her lovers, and forgat me, saith the LORD. <br><font color=”#000000″>14 </font>Therefore, behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak comfortably unto her. <br><font color=”#000000″>15 </font>And I will give her her vineyards from thence, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope: and she shall sing there, as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt. <br><font color=”#000000″>16 </font>And it shall be at that day, saith the LORD, <i>that</i> thou shalt call me Ishi; and shalt call me no more Baali. <br><font color=”#000000″>17 </font>For I will take away the names of Baalim out of her mouth, and they shall no more be remembered by their name. <br><font color=”#000000″>18 </font>And in that day will I make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven, and <i>with</i> the creeping things of the ground: and I will break the bow and the sword and the battle out of the earth, and will make them to lie down safely. <br><font color=”#000000″>19 </font>And I will betroth thee unto me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies. <br><font color=”#000000″>20 </font>I will even betroth thee unto me in faithfulness: and thou shalt know the LORD. <br><font color=”#000000″>21 </font>And it shall come to pass in that day, I will hear, saith the LORD, I will hear the heavens, and they shall hear the earth; <br><font color=”#000000″>22 </font>And the earth shall hear the corn, and the wine, and the oil; and they shall hear Jezreel. <br><font color=”#000000″>23 </font>And I will sow her unto me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to <i>them which were</i> not my people, Thou <i>art</i> my people; and they shall say, <i>Thou art</i> my God.&nbsp;<br></span></p><p></p><p></p><p style=”line-height: 14px; I love Jesus. And I only read the King James Scriptures.

  1. Freeborn,I was reading what I had just posted, and reading some of Dake’s notes on it. Only thing that I could understand from his notes is that Hosea 2:14-23 has NOT been fullfilled yet…This is speaking about Eve. Dake did say that this is in reference to the women in Rev. that is in the wilderness.Would this mean that the seed of Eve did not good in the sight of GOD at this time ? I was just wondering.. What are your thoughts on this? And I figured something out about the 2nd Book of Enoch. Remember when you and I were talking on the phone, and I said that it does not like up with scripture about the angels commanded Demons to help Solomon build the temple? Well, it might be true. Since the measurements of the TEMPLE SPELL OUT CHRIST.According to the Book Numerology in Scripture by E.W. Bullinger. I have not begun to study that out. But since GOD does things for a reason, demons building GOD’s temple? And it spelled out the name of their Savior! For Jews and Demons. WOW!LoveTweety

  2.   I personally do not believe those girls did the thing to sin.  And I do not think it had anything to do with people in Zoa.Remember, these people were not too far after the big flood?  well, now comes along another TOTAL destruction.See?I fully believe those two daughters actually thought everyone else on earth had been killed except them, those three. They said, there is not a man to come in unto us.  They thought they were the only three people left alive. Now until someone can show me something different in Scripture, this is how I see this word. They did not do that thing with Lot for sex, or any other reason EXCEPT TO CONSERVE SEED OF THEIR FATHER.They thought they alone could save the human race form extinction. So I do not believe God held this against them as sin. There are other reasons God was against Moab and Ammon. But it is a good study.
