Did God ever require animal sacrifices for sins?
No. Read Isa one, then, Heb 10 and Isa 66, it shows here, in the KJV, that God has NEVER at any time had pleasure in this kind of stuff. God has always HATED these things. He did not set them up, then get tired of them. He never set them up.
Old Adam/Satan, did. ..in total rebellion to God, for he wanted to be worshiped as God.
God said these things are an abomination to him. He did not COME to hate them…he hated them all the time.
Only the FEW all through the OT, who FOUND GRACE, had it right. Grace, not law, has always been God’s way.
Man chose their OWN WAY, which was law/death.
Adam set those things up as worship to Adam. They were never pleasing to God. His way of worship, was taught by Jesus = in spirit and in truth.,, not the works of law. Read Lamentations. It shows that the law, the prophets, the priests, and all their sabbaths were abolished and hated by God.
God does not change; he always hated these things.
Read this: Psm40: Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required.
Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,
He said, God did NOT require those offerings….did not say he got fed up with them>>did not require them.
Now read Isa 1: Isa.1
1. When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts?
See that? God asked them WHO REQUIRED this of you? If God required it, surely He would have known that He did it, don’t you think?
Now read this again: Heb.10
1. Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:
2. Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;
Do you know what, “thou wouldest not” means? It means God did not want that stuff….Then, he had no pleasure in those things which were offered BY THE LAW.
God gave the world to his son, Adam, to rule. Adam rebelled and set up LAW, so he could be worshiped, as God.
Adam set up those animal sacrifices. So since God gave it to Adam, and God said man chose their own ways, which was death, and rebelled against God’s ways, God let them have it their way…BUT, he told them what the LAW requires…so they had to do it, for they chose to be under law, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
It was NEVER Gods way or will.
Jesus Christ is the only sacrifice God has ever accepted.
God did not set man to rule over the woman, either. It was a result of going into LAW.
In Christ there is neither male nor female. This is God’s way, but he let man have his own way, which is DEATH.
