Is Jesus God?

The reason why people say Jesus is God is because they have adopted a pagan teaching that dates back to Babylon and Egypt. So here are a few thing to consider:

Jesus in Praying to HIS FATHER said: “This is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and him whom you sent, Jesus Christ. John 17: 3. So listen to what the son says when he calls his father THE ONLY TRUE GOD!

Here are a few more things to think about, , “
The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.” (John 13:16) Jesus said on numerous occasions that, “the Father… hath sent me.” (John 5:37,6:37)

Jesus prays to God. (John 17:1-3)
Jesus has faith in God. (Hebrews 2:17,18, Hebrews 3:2)
Jesus is a servant of God. (Acts 3:13)
Jesus does not know things God knows. (Mark 13:32, Revelation 1:1)
Jesus worships God. (John 4:22)
Jesus has one who is God to him. (Revelation 3:12)
Jesus is in subjection to God. (1 Corinthians 15:28)
Jesus’ head is God. (1 Corinthians 11:1)
Jesus has reverent submission, fear, of God. (Hebrews 5:7)
Jesus is given lordship by God. (Acts 2:36)
Jesus is exalted by God.(Acts 5:31)
Jesus is made high priest by God. (Hebrews 5:10)
Jesus is given authority by God. (Philippians 2:9)
Jesus is given kingship by God. (Luke 1:32,33)
Jesus is given judgment by God. (Acts 10:42)
“God raised [Jesus] from the dead”. (Acts 2:24, Romans 10:9, 1 Corinthians 15:15)
Jesus is at the right hand of God. (Mark 16:19, Luke 22:69, Acts 2:33, Romans 8:34)
Jesus is the one human mediator between the one God and man. (1 Timothy 2:5)
No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. (1 John 4:12)
God put everything, except Himself, under Jesus. (1 Corinthians 15:24-28)
Jesus did not think being “equal with God” was graspable. (Philippians 2:6)
“Around the ninth hour, Jesus shouted in a loud voice, saying “Eli Eli lama sabachthani?” which is, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”” (Matthew 27:46)

    Good Morning Group,

I just thought I would drop in and hope that all is well with all of you that come here.  I have been reading

Revelation, since myself and Freeborn have been discussing it on the phone lately. So we will begin with this

verse that clearly shows that JESUS IS NOT GOD from sciptures.

    Revelation 1:1 (KJV)
1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
Now let me ask everyone that comes to this board: Why would GOD HIMSELF give something to Jesus if you claim that Jesus is GOD the Father? It just does not prove anyone’s theory about Jesus being GOD the Father.
GOD the Father gave Jesus a revelation to show us. People must learn to read, and believe scriptures. NOT MAN!
Scriptures is truth! It makes your theory about Jesus being GOD false.
If Jesus was GOD, then why did he have to be baptized with the HOLY SPIRIT?
     Answer that please.

    Love Tweety

here is a reply I gave to someone at Yahoo>

Here is the verse: Mat 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

God, who is the Father, gave this power to his son, Jesus, after the resurrection, AND NOT BEFORE. this resurrected Christ is the only begotten son of God. He was son of man, in his life, before resurrection. He is still son of man, and also Son of God, begotten by the Holy Ghost, from God.

God gave this power and authority to Jesus, because at this point, Jesus was seated upon the throne of God, in heaven, there to rule the world, until such time as all enemies are brought under his feet, or subjection. 1Cor 15.

Why do people hate this truth so much? almost everyone who ‘claims’ to be a christian, hates this truth. They cannot accept Jesus as their Lord and God, unless they can believe that he IS GOD.

No. He is not God. He left earth and WENT TO HIS FATHER AND HIS GOD. Do they ever read the Word of God? if so, how can they continue to miss this all the time?

Jesus is there, now, ruling in the capacity of God and everyone one this earth will have to bow to this same Jesus and confess him as Lord, to the glory of God, his Father.

Like it or not…we all must come through Jesus, either to be lost or to be saved. Everyone will pass through Jesus, and there is no way around it. God declared this, not me.

You are RIGHT. If Jesus had been God, there would have been no need for power to be GIVEN TO HIM. In Acts 10, it says that God anointed Jesus, with the Holy Ghost and power. Guess they never read that either.
Jesus himself, said, the SPIRIT OF THE LORD GOD is UPON me, for HE HAS ANOINTED ME….Quoting from Isaiah.

So they try to put your down, for they do not want to ever have to acknowledge this truth….that Mary’s baby, was not God and that the man dying on the cross was not God. the MAN, NOW SEATED on the throne of God, is a glorified MAN, whom we are all commanded to worship as our Lord and our God.
do you? do any of you….I mean worship this MAN, WITHOUT TRYING TO MAKE HIM BE GOD?

    Let me testify. I DO.
